The Urgent Care Centers are owned and managed by Dr. Brian Fowler and Dr. Bryan Dunn, two experienced emergency medical physicians. Fowler served as an ER physician in San Antonio from 1993 until 2006 when he and Dunn made the decision to start a minor emergency clinic in Boerne.

"I came up with the idea of a clinic because the majority of emergency room (ER) cases I have seen were conditions that could have been easily handled in an urgent care clinic," said Fowler. "And an ER can charge much more than a clinic for the same service. Our clinics are simply a better value."

Fowler saw a real need for management of emergency medical problems in Boerne. He took the idea to three physicians and it was ultimately Dunn who shared his vision. They became 50-50 partners in the clinics. The Clinics now employ eight physicians, over 20 employees and support staff.

"Our staff does everything possible to make sure patients don’t have to wait a prolonged period of time," said Fowler. "And 100% of our patients are seen by a physician during their visit."

Boerne Urgent Care is managed much like an emergency room at a hospital. “There are no other clinics in this area that can offer the wide variety of services we can,” said Fowler.

The clinics can treat lacerations, fractures, sprains, sports injuries, allergic
reactions, skin infections and insect bites, upper respiratory infections, IV therapy & hydration, eye injuries and infections, and perform school, camp and sports physicals.
